Vertique is a vision of the world through a vertical lens. It is a collection of fine art created for spaces seeking elegance and presence. Each piece draws the eye upward, slowing the gaze and inviting deeper attention.

This vision began in Japan when I first stood before Kyoto’s Kiyomizu-dera, its soaring pillars carved from single trees. During my twenty-five years in Japan, I was drawn to the vertical rhythm of its art, especially kakejiku hanging scrolls. Their quiet balance made the upright frame feel natural, guiding the eye in contemplation and embodying the spirit of yutori, the art of unhurried observation.

I began to see that the spaces we live in, hold walls ready for transformation: a hallway that draws the eye forward, a staircase that lifts the gaze, a foyer that opens into light. Vertique transforms these places into vertical windows of art, reimagining how we experience both space and life.
